Wow $40 is a lot for trim stuff. Does it work? I went through a half a bottle of the chem guys trim gel last night on the wife`s caddy. Huge panels all the way around the car. Seems to work, but it was hard to use as a thick sticky gel. I think I threw away the towel after use.
Solution Finish is the best trim restorer I have used. It will bring back really trashed black trim. The one ounce bottle would last a very long time. I bought the large bottle and I think I will never run out.
Thanks, I remember all the magazines with that character in it. All the T-shirts too!
My initials are RF and I almost got this character tattooed on my forearm.
Working on cars a lot I decided it would get all scratched up so no tats below the elbow.
I use this character on Facebook also because my mug is too ugly!
Thanks for the video Guz. Trim is such a PITA to do! And I have tons of it! I have currently been using McKess trim restorer. And very satisfied with it. I think using the right applicator is 1/2 the battle. I find Griots trim applicators perfect for this.
Over 50 years ago, I saw Ed at the Custom Car Show in Pittsburgh, doing airbrushed, made to order t-shirts. I think a tee was $6-$8,which then was 2 weeks pay for a pre-teen, so beyond my budget. I stood around for probably an hour, just watching him work and interact with the crowd. My most vivid memory was of him doing a sweatshirt for a customer who had an Indian Scout. He spelled Indian as "Indain" and as a grade school spelling bee champ, I couldn`t believe that neither Ed or the buyer noticed it. Now, it would be a treasure to have that shirt framed on your wall.
Anyone ever compare this one to Utlima TGG+? Guess I`m thinking more about trim that`s already in OK shape, if that matters (gee, kinda surprised that I said that given the age of my vehicles and the state the trim was in when I got some of `em!).
Sadly I hate to have to be the one to tell ya. That trim of yours is not in OK shape. While true it didn`t look good when you got the car-It`s currently not that great. Your eyesight is failing. Along with your memory loss-happy you can remember buying the cars
Solution Finish for the win for me
yamabob- heh heh, yeah...even with all those surgeries, my eyesight sure isn`t what it was a few years ago! But at least both eyes do still work, lucky me being born when I was.
Now about that "memory loss" heh heh heh...nah, the ol` brain hasn`t deteriorated any
