Britemax Clean Max pH Balanced Vehicle Shampoo
I was one of the lucky winners chosen in the Britemax product giveaway. I didn't expect much from a mere car wash, but was pleasantly surprised.
Determined to get at least one of the family fleet washed before temp got too hot, I decided to try it out on the wife's 2012 Cruze. It was at least two weeks since the last wash, except for regularly chasing bird droppings with UWW+. The Cruze had been waxed 7 weeks ago with DG111 over DG501 and maintained sporadically with DG Rinseless since then. Ambient temp was 73 degrees, 68% humidity. We had a light overnight sprinkle combined with the morning dew, so the Cruze was already wet before I uncoiled the hose.

Britemax is a very heavy concentrate, almost approaching a gel consistency. The scent is strong grape in concentrate form. The bottle directions are not specific as to the proportions, but with as concentrated as the product appeared, I added one ounce to two gallons in my Meguiar's bucket. Giving it a short blast with the hose didn't create the level of suds I was expecting, so I was unsure if I added enough product. As soon as I added the mitt and started washing, however, the sudsing on the paint was more than adequate. Next time I may try even less soap.

The rest of the wash was uneventful. The Britemax cleaned adequately, including some bird droppings that happened overnight. The level of lubricity was excellent. I poured some remaining solution in a small bucket for the tires and wheels, which it cleaned quite well. The pleasant surprise came when doing the flood rinse. While I wasn't extremely slow or precise with the hose, Britemax sheeted extremely well. I avoided using any drying aid so as not to compromise the test results, but a single Dry Me a River waffle weave was all we needed to get completely dry.

Total time spent on the wash and dry was 44 minutes, including photos, but before window cleaning, so this was definitely a quickie wash.

I have to state that this product definitely exceeded my expectations. The gloss appeared to be amped up a bit, as well as an increased slickness by the time the sun came out later in the morning.
As stated before, there are no "premium" wash products on my shelves, just Meg's Gold class and DG901. Based on my results, Britemax qualifies as a "premium" car wash IMO. The price of $19.99 may seem a bit steep at first, but considering the high level of concentration, a quart will last you quite a few washes. Definitely on my recommended list.
Thanks again, Paul and the Autopia staff for the giveaway!
For the next episode, we'll try Britemax Spray n' Shine as a drying aid.
