Brick & Mortar Store for a PC in California?

Detailing Addict :D
I've ordered from premiumautocare.com and I am so stoked to try out the UPP I just got. However, shipping takes way too long to get to CA!

Anyone know of a good detailing store in Northern California that stocks PCs?

Thanks guys!

Northern California takes in quite an area, but Lowe's carries the Porter Cable R.O. in stock. There seems to be some Lowe's stores in California, maybe one of them might be near you. (Wherever that may be:D)

Lol beemerboy!

I've sent you a PM and an email asking you where you get your supplies from, and I think they never got through! Anyway, I live in Berkeley, and I work in San Francisco.

Thanks Charles for the Lowe's heads up, I might check that out, but a real hardcore detailer's shop would be even better =D

Thanks again for all your help

Josh

No I got it but for some reason my profile does not tell me that I have new mails.

Go see these guys.
http://www.pssales.com/about.html.

I use allot of there products, they have stores all over the bay area. They also have equiment and classes. The local guy up here is where I got my orbital. I'm also looking at the Mytee extractor they have. Best thing about it if I have any troubles at all they will give me a loaner while they fix mine. Its worth a bit more for that insurance.

If you are still having troubles drive north up here and let me detail the car with you!!:google

I got my father in law a PC in Lowes up in Modesto. Its the 7336 that they normally carry. A PC is still a PC no matter where it is purchased. There aren't too many store front businesses out there that cater to hard core detailers. Detail shops sell services and not product usually. If they do sell product then you get royally screwed with the prices since they mark it up from where they got it from. Ordering online is usually cheaper unless you are just looking for a Meguiar's or 3M distributor. You can email those guys for a list of where to shop for their full line.

You in the valley? I'm from Tracy my father was a farmer there for years. I started Dave's Detailing there in 75 and did local cars, using TR3 resign glaze and Armourall:(

I wish... My wife is from Lodi and that is where her family still is. Her dad works for General Mills out there. We pop in every few weeks for a visit. It is the closest family we have. All my family is back east and we are stuck in Salt Lake. I'd move to Lodi if I could afford to live in Cali. lol

Sweet, thanks Beemerboy and Jngrbrdman =D

Beemerboy - going up to Sonoma might be a good idea, never hurts to learn from a pro =)

I love to get my hands on that BMW, but I'm not a pro, just been after this for some time and love the work!!

So does beemerboy mean that you drive one too?

Yeah it's a brand new car but it already needs tons of work - dealer installed swirl marks, my own installation of swirls (from when the week when I *just* got the car and didn't know jack about detailing), some fine scratches in the paint from parking next to a stupid bush, and a fat chip in the hood from driving to Tahoe.

Looking forward to getting a PC and my SSR1 to get all that nasty crap out. Already filled the chip with dealer touch up paint and clear coat, just waiting for it to set a little more before wet sanding, compounding and polishing.

Very nice! =)
Thanks again for all the help, I will let you know how my swirls turn out with the PC I get from your link.

Which one did you get exactly? I only saw DeWalts, are they any good? How are they compared to the Porter Cable ones?

I have a De Walt and love it, I've seen the PC but have no hands o expereince.

Hey its time for you to head for Justin Herman Plaza, and have a look at the ladies eatting lunch, I miss those days
