I have had the X5 for about two weeks and looking forward to claying it and then polishing it and then laying down some Zaino. :D

Time I have to wait until I dive in????????????

Normally you have to wait a month or so after painting but you have to figure that by the time you got the car, it sat in Germany, then a long boat ride and then sat on your dealers lots, at best is was probably made 2 months ago (build date is probably on the door pillar). So go for it. Clay first since it probably has residue from crossing the Altantic.

Hmmm I guess I should be about ready to go then. I was thinknig that since it was baked it must be good to go.

actually the X5 is built in Spartanburg South Carolina. I was lucky and got it very fast. It has a Estoril blue paint job, which is a special order paint that is not in any dealer customer publication books. I got X5 about 2 1/2 weeks after I placed the order :woohoo:

the lot boys never got a chance to touch it :D

I am thinking this :

Clay

Sonus paintwork cleanser

Zaino Z2 x 4

:woot:

paintwork is cured at hi temp at the factory. it's "cured" as it is leaves the point of final assembly.
