Brake dust problem

Thanks for the input guys. I have Mothers and Sonus Green clay. I think I'll give it a go with the Mothers. I'll report back with the results.

The claying didn't remove the dust from the wheels. I worked at a small area for a good 5 minutes and none of it would come up. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Probably pitting

I dont know how aggressive the clay is that you used but I recently took care of my brothers wheels on his 05 wrx. It had probably been close to a year since it was seriously washed and the brake dust was caked on there. I tried multiple applications of the p21s gel with no luck. I then tried the meguiars "aggressive" clay I got a couple days before, it took off everything. I heard it can mar paint though so use plenty of lube/water

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I had been planning on ordering an aggressive claybar soon, so I guess I'll go with the c-2100. Hopefully, this will take care of the specs.:woot2:

Try Meg's Mini Power Ball and a mild compound. Be VERY careful with the power-ball as it builds heat and cut very quickly so keep it wet. I've used this several times and done very well.

Good luck.

just wanted to update this post. the meg aggressive red clay combined with a lot of rubbing was able to get rid of the worst of the dust. thanks for the suggestions! :grinno:
