i gave it a 3 star for the scent since the scent doesnt last that long, probably after 1 day you'll have to respray. so i went to check out the stripper scent from the website again and saw that my review was gone. now im wondering if they do that to all the products that they have? all the products that i seem to go to has 5 stars. anyone else had this experience? i feel like i've been tricked into buying product that i thought was really 5 starts.:grrr

with any company/business, they are trying to sell products and make $'s. if the review of the product isn't tops, it could make a potential customer discouraged from buying it. it doesn't surprise me that CG's or anyone for that matter would do this...

Heck, the reason it doesn't last long is because they want you to spray it again. Besides, when you have a real stripper in your car, you want to have her back in there again in a day or two, same difference :nixweiss

Hotgrass - I posted a negative review of their All-in-One polish (basically bottled garbage), and it was deleted the next day as well... I've said it before and I'll say it again CG is full of shady business practices. I choose not to purchase products from people whom cannot run a honest business. There are other companies that produce the same products. I'd pay 10x the money just to not have to purchase their products ever again.

It is a good reason to go to a third party retailer like detailed image. They leaved the bad reviews up, since they don't "need" to sell that exact product.

i was curious about their scent too because "everyone" was raving about how great is smells. However, if it doesn't last, I'll keep looking for something else. That is pretty shady. Maybe you could ask them what happened to your review or keep posting it on there and mention your review keeps getting lost. :)

i have 3 more CG products, but im thinking that they are not as good as i think. that's really shady, i would never buy any CG products again. i'll keep editing and posting my review so that it would show up on there website.

Maybe you should try them to see if they are as good as you think, instead of just thinking they are not as good as you think....I think. Do you know what a stripper smells like, anyway?

Not only have they been deleting reviews that aren't favorable, I find it hard to navigate the site as everything is "the Best Ever!" and "The Greatest Product!" so its hard to choose what product to purchase unless you know what you're looking for.

Through our writing articles for Detailed Image, it makes since to get products they carry because of the discount we receive, but we may have to begin using less and less CG products

That question was really directed at the OP and others...seems to me if you actually know what a stripper smells like that's that last thing you want your car to smell like, especially if you're married...:p

From what I remember a long time ago, when I went to a strip club and talked with a stripper up close. Maybe it was the place that was musty and not her. I was just guessing. :chuckle:

Yeah, you don't want your car to smell like a strip club with the wife around. lol She would be asking questions.

I think that is why I have never used Chemical Guys - I just figure that any company that hypes up their products that much can't really be all that good. Just sayin'. :tumblewee
