I got mothers pre cleaner to clean the paint and now i got some eagle one nano wax plus still got my tw ultra gloss. I want to put both on but what order?? the tw first or nano wax. What do you guys suggest i do?? Can both be used or just one.

I imagine that both have mild cleaners, so either will remove a bit of what you applied previously. Mess around and find out what looks best to you... :up

Well from the sounds of it the sealer and glaze really is useless unless i use a pure caranuba wax on the car. The turtle wax has cleaners though mild will remove some which is kind of a waste. I talked to a buddy and he said that using a pre wax cleaner then using a wax on top like the nano wax or twpug i have will not work well b/c there is no lubrication, nothing to bring out the shine in the paint (where the sealer and glaze come in) but since all these have cleaners it's no use really. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place on what to do with the car :( I really need some help

You would do it by hand, right? First of all, pics would be useful to see the condition of your paint. How old is your car? Fallout?

Clay!

There is really no point in using the Nano and the TW together. And talk to us instead of a buddy...

A cleaner and a LSP must work, but it is a rather simplistic combo. If you have flawless, or nearly new finish, it is sufficient. That doesn't mean it is ENOUGH, or GOOD, or OBSESSIVE.

Just look around a bit more, learn, and post pics. That way we can help you. When you want to use only these two products, then clean the paint thoroughly (which is a PITA by hand), and throw on two or three layers of TW. Okay, the cleaners in that will remove a little bit of the previous layer, yet you can go with the application getting more gentle and light. If it looks good, enjoy.

Well i am going to crack i am gettin the other 2 steps tomorrow at canadian tire :D I got some cash so i am spending the extra money and do it the proper way :xyxthumbs I hope i see some amazing results?? you think it's better then just puttin platinum series down?? I hope they don't disapoint me or i will be pissed :wavey

So you boys think i should see a difference, the car is 12 years old, garaged every day with industry not far from my house. Not very hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Paint in good shape, scratches and swirls, still shiny as hell in the sun. So what do you think, i am far from the car right now so no pics at the moment.

Let's start over.. what are your goals? Before you buy anything else, let's figure out what you need :)

I see you've also asked about ColorX.. I bet that the TW Platinum stuff you have would go fine over ColorX. ColorX is a good cleaner, can remove some swirls, and leaves its own protection. The TW Platinum would probably clean off some of the good stuff that ColorX leaves behind, but you were interested in ColorX's cleaning & polising abilities more than its protection anyways.

Read through some of the articles in the "Learn" link at the top of the page.. http://autopia.org/kb/index.php?page=index_v2&id=26&c=16 will give you a good basis, and you can plug your own products in to the recommendations.

Well my the nano wax is going back to the store to get my money back, nobody likes it much so might as well send her back. So you recommended i just use the colourx now and forget the mothers system??? I really want the car to shine again, i want it to be deep and also shiney like it use to, the paint need a good cleaning since it has never been cleaned before and since i live near industry it would really help it i think.

I wanna use the cleaner for use, the meguiars guy i talked to said colourx is the 3 stages in one but is weaker then using each individually. I don't have the colourx anymore i took it back. I heard the 3 step system does wonders with dark colors and i have a dark green car so i think it would look awesome after. Since the tw would remove some of the colourx it seems kinda pointless so i probably spend the extra bones and get the sealer and glaze and also get the pure wax and do it all up. Colourx seems fine but it seems it just won't cut it. Probably better for newer finishes not 12 year old ones :)

One question though after the pure caranuba should i just do 2 coats to really protect and make it shine or is there something better then it to protect, reflections is out since i can't find that stuff anywhere. I heard nxt is good for that. Everyone on the mothers board just said to use the 3 step and enjoy the shine. I know if i can get results from what everyone is saying i can't wait to see it and bring life back to the finish.

The pure caranuba, what's better paste or liquid??
