And I'm a newb to this whole clay thing. I have a few questions.

-How often should I fold/knead the clay?
-How much lubrication is required?
-How do I know when to pitch the clay, does it get "used up?"
-Will the 50 g bars last through more than one car? (These were way tinier than what I was expecting.) Rather, how many cars can I get out of two 50 g bars?
-I know a wash is needed before clay, but is a wash needed after clay? Or will the residue wipe off?


Sorry for all the questions, but I want to make sure I don't mess up the paint rather than help it. Any other pointers are encouraged! Thanks in advance.
 
How often should I fold/knead the clay?

I fold mine whenever it looks dirty. Usually every panel

-How much lubrication is required?

Use more than you need. If you dont use enough it might scratch.

-How do I know when to pitch the clay, does it get "used up?"

If it has any grit throw it away, Also throw it if you drop it.

-Will the 50 g bars last through more than one car? (These were way tinier than what I was expecting.) Rather, how many cars can I get out of two 50 g bars?

Cut each bar into about 3 peices. You will get quite a bit of use out of all the clay.

-I know a wash is needed before clay, but is a wash needed after clay? Or will the residue wipe off?

I always just wipe off the clay
