... But I don't like the looks of it at all. What is the draw to such a vehicle?? Is it just because it's different?? Please enlighten me.

(BTW, I don't want to sound harsh, just candid.)

Funky, unique, individual, jazzy, flashy...

Yup, pretty much because how different they are. I think they are really cool... Someone else (I forget, Honda or someone) has a toaster on wheels coming out too that is even cooler!

Congrats on the new car. When they first came out I really didn't like them, but now seeing more on the roads I really think they are cool and unique. Some guy pulled in with a rustic orange one at DQ and it looked so cool and unique. Its a cool little box on wheels. I'm also guessing it gets pretty good gas mileage, it only has a 108hp engine I believe, which is pretty important with gas prices on the rise.

Well, I'm 6'1" tall and fairly gravitationally challenged and I wanted a new (unique, if possible), cheap, reliable car that I could enter and exit without too much difficulty. For an out-the-door price (including extended warrenty) for a bit more than $16k and a Toyota at that, how could I have gone wrong?

It's a great little commuter and runabout. It gets lots of looks (for now, at least) and will seat four large adults and one child comfortably.

For trips and hauling stuff and people, we use our '02 Honda Odyssey. :)

Almost forgot, I commute 10 miles each way in mainly bumper-to-bumper traffic (takes at least 20-25 minutes) and I get 25-28 mpg (I'm not afraid of the gas pedal when an opening occurs). The car is rated 30 city and 34 highway.
