Bought a Dyson Vac

Tired of buying vacs so we bought the Dyson(animal ) that picks up dog hair and dander. It's the purple machine. All I had time to do today was put it together.:passout:

We've had our Dyson Animal for a year and a half now. It is an awesome vac. The only drawback is that it works so well that you have to empty the canister more often.

My problem with vacuums has been burning up the motor.
The dog hair (not that my long hair doesn't shed) tangles up the brushes so they don't turn any more and the motor over heats.
How does the Dyson Animal handle that?

Thanks,
Suzanna

you know what?

This thread SUCKS:D

I have a Miele vac...expensive as heck...was thinking they where the best on the market 7 years back...used the SIL Dyson and went  this thing rocks!

I haven't ponied up yet for the Dyson but its on the list of things that I want to replace one day

the new dysons and maybe the old, have a beltless drive system and the brush just slides out of the side of the vacuum for cleaning and justs slides back in, a simple 2 minute or less job to clean the roller brush, the
only other vacuum i know of with this feature is the sebo vac, check out their web sites for a in depth explanation

, makes me wanna buy a Dyson too :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm: :surrender

The Dyson is great for those with a hair problem. I've got a cat but my wife and 2 daughters long hair is far more of a problem than the cat. We have tile floors in our bathroom and my son says the tile feels like a fur carpet after 2 girls blow dry their hair. Dyson makes the brush removal simple. I clean the hair off almost every time I use it. If I do the whole house it needs it again.

Wow...and I thought Troy was the only guy in the world that cared about which vacuum cleaner we buy! Who knew???:) I saw the negative reviews as well, for the Dyson. I didn't want to spend that kind of money if it wasn't worth it. Interesting.....

Yes, I would like to know as well. That is a factor for us too.

Check out the Bed Bath and Beyond coupons. A lot of times they leave Dyson off the exceptions list. You can save 20% right there.

yes i know reviving an old thread :wall

but i broke down and finally bought one of these Dyson ball vacuums :wow:

they are on sale at Target ... reg $399 now only $319

all i can say is wow ..not only does it go from carpet to hardwood , to linolium, but the kids couldn't put it down :rofl worth every penny if they will start vacuuming the house ... they were literally fighting over it :lol2:
and yes it sucked stuff out of the carpet that I couldn't believe :inspector:

and emptying the canister was soooooooooo easy :bigups:love::love::love:

I've been thinking about one for years.
Mean old woman thinks it's too heavy.

The ball is a slick idea.

Everyone runs in my house when the vacuum comes out. Including the dog. I have had mine for several years. It has been doing a good job since. I agree the basket is easy to empty.

i can't believe how quiet it is :rockon

I bough a Miele vacuum cleaner some years back. The wife wanted the canister style one, has about every attachment possible. Can't say its quite but highly effective machine:D
