Bosch 1250DEVS 6" Random Orbit Sander

It must be an insane machine as it combines high power and safety. Its forced rotation ensures good defect removal without sacrificing too much speed in relation to a rotary.

Anyone using this? Likes or dislikes?

What a coincidence, mine arrived just last week and I was about to post pictures thread on it today.

I have used it for about half an hour so far but not on a car. I will not be posting my opinion publicly until I had a chance to use it on a car enough, which is still at least few weeks away.

P.S. I thought you said you got an UDM and moved on? :nixweiss In any case, a friendly warning, if you had to give up purchasing Flex due to perceived problems you might end up giving up purchasing 1250DEVS twice faster because it was at least twice harder for me (took me 10 minutes instead of 5, plus there were complications in billing and shipping with vendor I got it from).

I had a Bosch for a few years. Not the one you posted but used it just like the PC. For durability and performance it was far superior than the PC. I purchased a PC in 2000 and it lasted for a year. I used it every day in my detailing business. The Bosch finaly took a dump last year. Only used these machines to wax cars. I have a Cyclo now.

As I was looking at the design/build/innards I have no doubt Bosch will be more durable than PC. I also have no doubt Festool RO 150 FEQ would be more durable than Bosch and that Cyclo could easily outlast them all.
