Booster Wax After Washes

I've tried spray on/wipe off type products as boosters after washings since the days of Turtle Instant Zip Wax. These products came a long way since then. Aquawax, ONR used as a quick detailer, and E-1 Nano wax are 3 products that have all worked well for me. However, the one I liked best is a product I stumbled into called Simoniz One Step Instant Polish. I can no longer find it, and an e-mail to Simoniz's website was never answered. Did anyone else find this best kept secret product, or know what ever happened to it?

Well, this isn't the answer you want, but I would wager if you try Duragloss Aquawax you will forget that Simoniz stuff pretty quick. It's a hair below Zaino Z8, but a whole lot cheaper.

Its kind of strange I see this thread. Today while detailing I thought to myself how neat it would be if there was a spray polish. But I couldnt imagine abrasives being able to be sprayed. A paint cleaner sure, but not a polish with worthy abrasives....

If it is a wax booster your after Pinnicale sp Crystal Mist is my favorite. Mothers also makes a good spray wax.

Don't know if prima slick has wax in it but it beats all and sundry for slickness, shine and sealant boosting

I recently found a new carnauba based QD called arexons Speed Polish (Italian). Easy Z8 performance for US$6. I applied them side by side on 2-2 panels (front fender & door vs. rear door & fender). A little warmth aside (pro ASP), I couldn't detect discernible differences between them and the ASP holds on surprisingly well. I don't expect spray sealant-like durability, but overall a very nice product.

Patrick, I know for a 100% fact that Pep Boys carries that weird sprayer Simoniz stuff. I always see it there, and the same bottles too because no one buys it lol. It looks strange, and I cannot see how anything that is supposed to polish is able to be sprayed. But, I have been wrong before!

Also, I only use Turtle Wax Xpress spray while drying. Nothing is easier, and I have not seen better results yet. I've been meaning to try OCW and Aquawax, but as a nice carnauba replenisher, I cannot see it being beaten any time soon. Quite durable for what it is as well. I also like the nanowax spray, but it attracts bees and flies for some reason :(

lemans23- Nobody buys it, and that's why I referred to it as a best kept secret. It goes on and comes off like Aquawax and I like it even better.

What's in a name? It was marketed as an "instant polish", but, of course it doesn't have cleaners or abrasives. It's pretty close to the products I mentioned in the original posting.

I only tried it because I found it among close-out items, and I always try car care products that are new to me - especially if they are on sale!

For those of you who have used Duragloss Aquawax, I've heard great things about the shine and gloss of the product, but do you also use it as a quick detailer to remove fingerprints, dust, etc. etc. Basically, how's the cleaning properties of it?

Bills 57, I havent tried the new sinonize in the yellow spray bottle , but many years ago simonize had a spray wax called Poly Glaze which I though was outstanding The new stuff and the old stuff look the same and they smell the same. Who knows they may be the same.

No cleaning properties...use something better designed at removing the dirt etc

thats funny because I brought some of that over last year when I went to Italy. I also brought with me some of their 1 step leather and conditioner which smells so good and leaves the leather really feeling alive. I wonder what customs was thinking when they saw that stuff in my luggage. Arexons is some decent stuff.

When you think of Poltrona Frau, Medici or other high quality leathers, there is only one conclusion: they must be good.

Yes, the Arexons is serious stuff.

It is a spray wax (like Z8) not a quick detailer. I would get something like Poorboys SnW, any CG quick detailer, or DG Fast Clean and Shine. I personally love how Aquawax performs and a tad better than Z8 imo.
