I met up with "BoostedMopar", aka Justin, because he wanted a little training with using a PC. In addition, he had just purchased some Zaino products, and wanted to give them a try.
Justin washed and clayed the car last night with the Z7 soap, and the Zaino clay, then tucked it into his garage for the night. This morning, it was ready to be polished. There was moderate swirling, and a few deeper scratches on the car. I believe he said it had never been polished before. We did a test spot, using SIP with the PC and a 5.5" LC orange pad. We then followed that up with ZPC on a Meguiar's polishing pad. We liked the results, so we proceeded, and did the entire car with this combo. We each used a PC, and each did half of the car. I spot buffed a few of the deeper scratches with the rotary, and M105.
After polishing, we rewashed the car to remove some of the SIP dust that had gotten in the crevaces with Z7 soap. We used S100 Wheel cleaner on the wheels, and S100 Total Cycle Cleaner on the wheel wells and exhaust pipes.
The car was sealed with 3 layers of a ZFX'd Z5pro / Z2 (70% / 30%) mix with a shot of Z8. We applied 3 layers, with z6 wipedowns in between, and a final Z8 wipedown.
We were anxious to get started, so the only pictures I took were after shots. Thanks Justin for letting me help you work on your beautiful car, and for your hospitality.
