"Boning" Paint

Was talking with a fellow detailer this morning and he claims that running my P/C polisher to fast will actually "bone" or harden the paint and make it hard to work. He's been doing this a long time and I really value his opinions.

What's the word out in D.C.?

Only thing I've heard is under heat (i.e. running maybe a rotary fast) the paint will soften (just while the heat is still on it)....

Doesn't Ming Shine claim that by running buffers at high speed they harden the paint to the point that it doesn't need to be waxed again?

Wow. Never heard that, but I had a different idea of what "boning" the paint meant. Haha.
I think my wife has accused me of performing this procedure on my car at least once ;):lmfao
