Boat floor help.

Damned pollen!!!
I am helping a friend clean his boat. It is a 20' Chris Craft. The floor is not carpeted, but is textured plactic/vinyl/ fiberglass. How can I get the floor gleaming white again? It is stained by coke, beer, food, dirty feet etc and has probably never been cleaned (boat is 4 years old). Does anyone know any good tricks? I was thinking Westleys bleach white or maybe clorox?

My 1993 Chris Craft has very little of the floor area that isn't carpeted. Meguiar's APC+ hasbeen all that I have ever used on it, but it has been cleaned on a regular basis.
There are quite a few marine specific cleaners for the use you are describing.
One thing that is usually stressed is to be sure to use a non-skid product.

Not going to scratch what he'll be using it on. On the texturd fiberglass floors it works awesome. It works well on boat decks, counters, anything on the inside of the boat really. I wouldn't recomend using it on any glass/plexiglass, or anything dyed.

Based on what you are saying my guess is the deck isa Non Skid Textured surface. I would try something like this.

You really do not want to wax or polish that surface as it will then become very slipery.

Joe, I certainly can't complain, but notice something about the finer things in my life.
They are all old!
My wife is a 1937, our lake house is a 1976, my Corvette is a 1981, my motorcycle is a 1985, my pontoon boat is a 1986, my Chris Craft is a 1993, my wife's car is a 2000, and my newest vehicle is a 2004 that I bought used. :)
I'm certainly not complaining since many people can't/don't have any of those things, but acquiring them over a long period of time hasn't been because of a large amount of money being available for toys.
Neither my wife or I drink or smoke and we don't spend much on entertainment and eating out. It's simply a matter of priorities.

90% of the details we do are boats, we use soft scrub with bleach on no skid all the time with fantastic results, only trick is to make sure it is rinsed well and doesnt come in contact with any materials that will be affected by bleach, also soft scrub can be used on vinyl to remove stains i try no to use it on any vinyl other than white just to be safe. if you get into a area that soft scrub with bleach greaded lightning will be your best friend it removes spider marks and bird drop stains with ease, just beware that greased lightning will stain gell coat if left on and not rinsed but can easily be polished out it doesnt stain that deep

Awesome. thanks. I'll try that. Do you use a scrub brush or something else?
 
no problem at all sorry i was working all day that why i didnt respond yes we use a nylon scrub brush with the soft scrub glad it worked out for you :bigups
