ShineTyme Detailing
I have a boat scheduled for this week. The boat is fiberglass and less than five years old with a little oxidation ( it is red) i can handle that, the problem is there is a layer of gunk just below the water line, it seems pretty thick. it feels like sand and mud. is there some kind of special boat cleaner designed to clean this stuff?? I was thinking of just scrubing my arm off with diluted simple green??? any advice would be appreciated.

To clean below the water line, use a boat hull cleaner. You can find hull cleaners at the West Marine or boat dealers. Read the directions on the bottle and take precautions.

A hull cleaner which comes to mind is On/off, which I think is made by Mary kate or starbrite.

yea that is a pain. if you have a pressure washer that will speed the whole thing up. on/off is a really good product to use.
