BMW Z4 Detail

[RX Gator]

Well, this was my second detail with the PC *first was on silver, hard to see swirls/scratches* and I thought it came out pretty damn good.

Washed with Meguiars NXT

Meguiars Clay on the boot lid and bonnet.

Meguiars 80 on speed 5 for the car, and

Meguiars 83 on speed 5 on the boot lid and bonnet

Followed with a coat of NXT. I have some 21, but I was really tired after this detail and didn't want to apply it.



Tires were done using some generic tire foam, and I used APC 8:1 for the interior.



I kinda sound like a Meguiar's ad, or people on their forums, all well.

The last two are a wee blurry, but it was getting dark out and I didn't feel like pulling out the tripod.

Very rich shine on that red. Why all the taping and newspaper? You don't get sling with a PC.

I was not thinking the same thing. Just because this person was smart enough to save money and if retired for retirement, does not mean we should not support law enforcement.

Ah thanks for all the great comments. To clarify, this is my mothers car, I have a silver Rx8. I am 16 but I am trying to get more into detailing, and hopefully I will be doing a S class this weekend. My mother has a penchant for speeding, so we thought the plate would be a nice touch I taped off the car, because with a PC there is enough polish sling to justify it, especially on a convertible. Getting caked on polish out of a black convertible top would not be fun. Lastly, the first pictures are done at my house, and the last two were taken at my moms fiance's house, which has a much cooler drive way for pictures :chuckle:

I think you completely misinterpreted what we meant. I have done volunteer work for police departments, done ridealongs, and have many friends who are related to law enforcement. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment regarding the car.

Looks nice. For Mother's Day, get your mom a stubby antenna. A seller on eBay named Mangowalk sells some that are a perfect fit for the Z4 (no affiliation, just a happy customer). Might also try debadging - I did mine this weekend.

Ah, I really want to debage it, but it is a lease. We had a 645, unfortunately it was in a wreck and we needed to get into a car real quick, so we got the Z4 on swapalease. I can honestly say the Z4 is way more fun than the 6 series ever was, and it gets more looks. I will look into the stubby antenna; it is kinda ugly.
