I worked on a beautiful BMW X5 4.8iS this weekend. This thing sounded insane too! The owner installed an x pipe, and cut out the resonators or mufflers or something (sorry, I don't know crap about exhaust systems :) )...but anyways, it sounded amazing!

Wheels cleaned with Meguiars Wheel Brightner

Car washed with Meguiars Gold Class

Polished with Meguiars #80

Glaze Meguiars #7 Show car Glaze

Waxed with Meguiars #21 Syn. Sealant

Trim, tires, and wheel wells dressed with Meguiars Hyper Dressing

So crisp, so clean....very nice work there. I like the shot of the wheel. :2thumbs:

Owner must've been stoked.

Very nice! Holy orange peel with the pic of the 4.8 emblem! For future reference..."Glaze Meguiars #7 Show car Glaze Waxed with Meguiars #21 Syn. Sealant" Not the best idea to lay a glaze down before a sealant. It will probably creating streaking issues and the sealant wont bond properly.

Thanks guys!

Oh...by the way, this is actually off of 2222, but is really close to 360.

That's interesting...I have never heard someone say that in the past. Thanks for the info!

Surprised no one mentioned it before. Meg's #7 has TONS of oils in it. Sealants in order to bond properly to a surface must have no oils underneath. Like the Zaino system, I always wipe down with Z6 or IPA wipe to ensure all oils from polishing has been removed and that the sealan will bond properly. Now if you used Meg's #7 then topped with a carnuba of your choice that is fine, but durability will still be less because of the glaze. It will sure look beautiful though. Determine what your customer wants and needs. If its outside car daily driver, I would probably favor durability over looks at that point if you arent gonna constantly maintain there vehicle for them. If the car is a show car/garage queen then go for beauty using glazes and carnubas. Hope this helps.

BTW, where did you get that little hand held light from? Is it halogen or led lit? I have been looking around locally and cant seem to find one like it.

Love the BMW! What did you cut the Hyper Dressing with, 2:1? Also what did you use on the interior?

Andrew

Thanks! I can't remember what the ratio was for Hyper Dressing, but I believe it is around 2:1.

The interior I used Meguiars Leather Cleaner and Conditioner, and then 303 protectant for everything else.

I got it from a local Pep Boys. The light is called a Dual Brinkman Xenon handheld light. :2thumbs:
