2009 BMW 535, owner picked it up a few weeks ago. Had some holograms on the trunk lid and water spots on the hood, otherwise it was in pretty good shape for a 3 year old BMW with sapphire black paint. It could have used a full correction but after taking care of the issues on the hood and trunk lid, plus 1 step on the rest of the car, the owner was very pleased with how it looked. Its a daily driver that does a 50 mile round trip commute through a construction zone with a planned completion date of 2015 so perfection will be very tough to maintain but protection was of paramount importance.

2012 Hyundai Genesis Spec R 5.0. Originally we were going to Opti-Coat this car about a month ago. Unfortunately, due to the heat and getting a syringe of Opti-Coat that was in the wrong syringe (the supplier sent the wrong ones to Optimum) and affected the product application we had to strip what we applied off and just Opti-Seal the car until I got some new OC in and the owner returned from a planned vacation.

The proper syringe made all the difference in the world! No problems at all during the application this time. It was also 20 degrees cooler (mid 80s vs 105) which gives a bit more time to find any high spots (which were few and far between). The paint is pretty spectacular on this car, the multi-colored flake has a 3D affect when you see it in person, as if the flake is in both the color coat and the clear.

2004 Honda Accord and 2012 Audi S6. The owner wanted to start his new S6 off right, so no dealer prep and yes to having me come out and take care of it. He also wanted his wife's Accord cleaned up too. He'd had it detailed at a shop before he'd heard about me and was pretty unhappy with how it looked. It has nighthawk pearl paint, which if you aren't familiar with is a huge PITA. Really sticky paint and the shop had left residue all over the car, looked like what is left behind when you pull a sticker off the paint. And that's how they gave it back to him and said that's the best they could do. Ugh.

What I have found to work on the paint to keep the polish from trying to weld itself to the surface is to use a polish with some oils in it, like Meguiars #205 or if the paint is pretty much swirl free, 3M Ultrafina. Seems about anything else leaves behind a residue that flat out won't wipe off. Tough to get what was on the car off, some areas required multiple, slow, heavy pressure passes. Fun times.

2012 Audi S6. The paint was pretty much flawless and knowing that while Audi paint has a reputation for hardness, their jet black does not. It isn't quite BMW jet black soft but its not that far behind. So no need to get aggressive at all, just work in some more depth.

If you can apply Opti-Seal, you can apply Opti-Coat, really not that much more difficult. After every couple of section, you need to go back and make sure it all cleared out, if not, usually a gentle swipe with the applicator will do it, or you can gently wipe with a soft MF towel is the area in question is completely dry.

if ever that a need to winding all the sinister swirls and imperfection - You are who they need

Thanks for sharing your precious works again

Great work Scott! Something about a mid $40's hyundai just seems weird. I have a dealer account where I get alot of newer Hyundais and there really nice cars. It just still seems strange to see a hyundai sticker be that hi. Great work as always!
