BMW 523 wearing Pink Moose & CMW

Gen2

New member
This BMW 523 was a pretty new car when it came to me, no major problem on the paint work except there were quite a bit of hologram on the car.

Steps taken as follow,

1. wash and clay

2. IP/RMG mix + polishing pad + DA @ speed 5

3. Pink Moose (RMG/VM mix) + light polishing pad + DA @ speed 4

4. Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax with foam applicator by hand

5. Follow by JW Carnauba Jett to remove the residue of CMW

After step 1 and 2, this is the before and after shots,

That’s all folks, hope you guys like it.

RMG with IP, interesting, what's the benefit of this?

When you say light polishing pad with Pink Moose, which pad did you mean? Similar to an LC white or orange Edge? More importantly, I'm interested how you applied the Pink Moose? Did you work it in like a polish at all or did you just spread it for coverage? Did you do the entire car and then buff off, or WOWO method or did you let is haze over?

After a long day working out on a black Honda Civic, it is great to see you guys enjoyed the posting. Thanks for all the kind compliments ;) .

Someone else here actually started mixing RMG to IP some time ago, after trying out this combo, I got stuck with it :p . Personally I find this combo tends to give a much deeper look and it gives a slicker feel too. Also it cuts down on the dusting from IP and extent the working time of IP.

My light polishing pad refers to the blue propel pad. I worked the Pink Moose in like a polish but I work on a bigger area, something like 3'x3' instead of the normal 2'x2'. You can either work on the whole car and than buff off or you can also work on a few panels, buff off, than carry on with the next few panels until you finished with the whole car.

What did you apply CJ with?

I sprayed CJ direct to the car and used a plush MF towel to spread and buff until it turned clear. I worked panel by panel.
