BMW 335i Paint

Black Sapphire Metallic is much more forgiving compared to Jet Black.

If you want Jet Black swirl free you will have to polish it every month, seriously. After 2-3 washes it starts showing a lot of marring. You can polish it 100% then wipe it with a brand new MF and it will most likely cause some damage, it is a pain in the butt to own!

After it has been completely polished it looks great though, for a week :wall

My wife's 2006 325i is Alpine White, which has the hardest clear cote I have ever seen. I actually like it, as it does not scratch easily. It polishes up nicely with M105 on PFW and 106FF on white with a rotary.

That is an interesting comment. I have Alpine White and I pamper the paint yet it seems to get swirls and mars pretty easily. I think the clear coat is pretty soft. Just take out a halogen spotlight and check that paint:shocked

I would stay away from jet black too. I bought a 2007 335i last summer and it is jet black. I didn't really look into the color, I figured black was black. But it's impossible to keep swirl free. I did a full details with my UDM and it looked great. That was until I had to clean the car again with a mitt and the swirls came back. ugh..
