blood on paint?

over this last weekend, i did a basic exterior job on a new customer's mazda mpv, white paint..



there were light red specs on the hood, and leading edge of the fender, top of the bumper.. and around the grille.



my parents think it was blood of some sort, but i'm kinda opposed to thinking it.. since i don't KNOW.



what does blood look like , dried on paint? anyone ?
 
if it washed off easy it could be blood



if it needed clay (and you use of the work speck)

make me think it was some type of sap/overspray
 
Unless they hit an animal/human and damaged their vehicle, I'd tend to say it wasn't blood. Blood has a dark maroone look to it and typically washes easily off paint.



This thread reminds me of the JackA$$ stunt where Johnny Knoxille goes to a car wash to have the blood & guts cleaned off his car. :rofl
 
Maybe it was blood, if the vehicle hit an animal, or ran over one, it could have been blood spatters. That should have washed off easily. Tree sap or tannin stains from leaves are tougher.



What's the big deal? Is there some concern of foul play?
 
Down south we have a weed called the polk berry, purple berries that the birds like. Now, when you get a bird bomb that is recycled polk berrie, then you've got sheez with grits.

A hundred years ago, I parked my old Buick one evening (in the dark) for a few hours under some sort of berry tree like that. The next morning I had bird/berry droppings all over the hood when I went out to go to work; I was taking my other car so I gave the droppings a quick hose off. They were so acid, when I came home not only were the original spots etched, but where the rinse water had run down was all etched too. I had that car for a dozen more years and the whole hood was etched for that entire time (of course, I wasn't an Autopian then, so I don't think it got any more than cleaner wax by hand).
