Blocks for cleaning tires?

I always have a tough time getting the lower part of the tire clean and dressed. I know I have a couple of options to clean the lower part of a car tire
1. roll car forward or back
2. jack
But both of those are kind of a pain. Does anyone make some kind of block to roll a car up on so you can clean and dress the lower part of the tire? I know I could just use a 2X4 or 2X6 but I was thinking something made with rubber or something so I wouldnt have to worry about with the water and cleaning agents etc.

Wood spacers.

I have seen some add a rope to it to pull and carry them.

I would note that BobbyG made a nicer set - he had stained them and tiered them to allow easier drive up.

I remember seeing those that BobbyG posted. We all commented how it is soooo like Bobby to stain his tire blocks! We need to get him back over here, since he is back on at AutogeekOnline.

This was just what I was thinking!!!.... The only thing that I was wondering about was with it being wood would it be a pain over time with water and chemicals? With all the detailing products out there, I cant beleive that there isnt something in rubber, plastic or something?.

The wood lasts forever. I don't even bring my blocks in the house. They are exposed to salt and snow, etc.. Still work fine.

When I work with a buddy who does clear bra I love using his RaceRamps that he has and for and added bonus it makes doing bumpers much easier

Would cutting a few pieces of Trex type decking give enough lift and overhang?

I've been using a foam paint brush that has seemingly allowed me to get the entire tire without using blocks or moving the car.

Blocks do not save you any time or inconvenience. You still have to set them up, move the vehicle on them and after you're done, you need to move the vehicle off them and put the blocks away.

Same as rolling the car twice. Once to clean and once to dress.

Now, if you have a bad back or your stomach keeps you from bending over, that's a different story.

Not exactly what you'd need, but I made the ramps for my lift using 2" x 12" and 1" x 12" boards and then I coated them with a roll on bed liner for protection against water.
