blitz & Dust attraction?

Hi,

Has anyone else ever noticed after using blitz wax that it attracts quite a lot of dust?

I polished & waxed my BMW at the weekend and when I went back out to my car it was covered in dust.

It doesn't seem to be as much of a problem if you rinse the car with water and then blot dry after waxing.



Shouldn't be as much of a problem next time as my S100 arrived this morning:up

I agree, I dont have a problem either with dust but there are lots of reports of problems. I have no idea why :nixweiss

Currently doing a mates motor and i've layered S100 on top of the Blitz.The results less dust, after the first layer of Blitz.Longer protection than s100 alone (well its looking that way),and deeper shine than Blitz alone.

Early days yet only been 4 weeks
 
Blitz is a fantastic wax but yes it does attract dust.

If you are a die harder user then it is best to apply in the summer or fall when there is less dust around (at least here in Canada where the winter sanding still leaves residual dust.

If you own a bimmer then use P21S for two reasons:

1. Less dust attraction and just as good if not better than Blitz and,

2. WON'T stain the black plastic trim!

Thank's for the advice guy's.

I couldn't wait until the weekend to use the s100 so I treated the car last night. Because I applied the omega glaze & blitz at the weelend, I washed the car last night with meguiars soft wash gel and then applied 2 coats of s100.

I'll still be using the blitz for durability & depth of colour and I'll now be using the s100 as a topper as the shine is unbelieveable, it sort of makes the finish "burst out" and look very, very wet.

Frequently, the dust issue (polymer sealant or wax) is related to static electricity. Try grounding the frame to a waterpipe... works for me.
