Blackfire Rinseless Wash

Rinseless washes have always intimidated me, but I'm slowing working up the nerve to try them out. Excellent results like these help!

Best thing, go in the garage and try it! It's really easy and might just change the way you wash your car.

I was the same way at one point. So when I started I used a rinse-less wash to replace QD when I had just a dusty car. The added lubrication and better cleaning ability made me feel better. As I got use to using them I stepped up to cleaning "dirtier" cars.

Since trying rinse-less I have fully replaced QD with either rinse-less or waterless washes.

A good way to "practice" your technique is when it is not too dirty. Maybe a little surface dust or pollen on there after you have driven it a few days with no rain. You'll have less chance of inducing micro scratches while you "practice". Bottom line, you just have to do it! :bigups

Thanks for the encouragement fellas! I'll take the plunge and report back. I've even got a BRW sample waiting for me to try.

Do you know what technique you plan to try out yet? Some people use use a wash mitt similar to a 2BM regular wash. Others use 8-10 MF towels. I like/use the latter just because you never reintroduce wash media to the RW solution. Known as the Garry Dean method...you can search his name on youtube and there are a couple videos that will help you learn the process if you want to try that technique. I would use at least 500 gsm MF towels for this method with a waffle weave for the final dry.

Definitely 2BM. I just picked up a second grit guard and have seen Gary Dean and others use the towel method. Thanks for the tip on the towel weight, I do have 2 or 3 towels above 500 (Chinchilla Buffing Cloth's @ 600g/m2)but would need more for a whole car. The majority of my MF towel collection is in the 300-400 range.

My garage queen is mostly covered with dust and pollen - would i really be risking it using a wash mitt? I need to give it a light polish to remove water spots picked up from a recent trip to Charleston, SC.

Considering I've already given it a full wash, and only need to remove pollen/dust using a wash mitt would be ok right?

My overall goal is to get comfortable with rinseless before next winter. My plan is to PW the cars w/ my foam cannon to remove the majority of salt and other grime and then rinseless the rest away inside my garage.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!!!

Exactly! I spent way to much $ last year on bottles of QD and have been looking at rinseless as a more cost friendly solution. In addition to the recent sample of BRW, I also picked a bottle of ONR purchased mainly for Clay Lube and QD purposes. Come to think of it I also may have a free bottle of Pinnacle Liquid Gloss Rinseless Wash with Carnauba from an order last year hiding out someplace.

It does not help when some detailers continue to say without conditions it is an unsafe washing practice.

Before bringing out the big guns for water spots, I'd encourage you to give carpro spotless a go

Thanks for the tip. How does Spotless compare to a paint work cleansing lotion? I was thinking about using P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser for the job.

Spotless is a miracle in a bottle IMHO. I've seen it eliminate baked on water spots with a simple wipe
