Hey guys!:wavey

It's been awhile, but I'm back! I just thought I should post a couple of pics of my first real detail job, a 2000 Viper GTS!!:xyxthumbs

It was in great shape, so I just washed with Dawn, BF Polish, and BF2 APP x 2(yes, I finally got some!!;) ).

Hope it's up to Autopian standards!:wavey

It looks incredible... what a great first detail job car.

Well, it's ALMOST up to Autopian standards... a couple squirts of dressing in the wheel wells and you're there.

.... I AM HUGE VIPER FAN. AND THAT IS THE SHINE DREAMS ARE MADE OF. U did that Viper right. There is a guy who drives a red viper in my town. that i see all the time. He treats it like a soccermom treats and SUV. it doenst look like its been washed in years. It hurts to see that beautiful of a car look like poop.

GREAT JOB :xyxthumbs :bow :xyxthumbs :bow :xyxthumbs :bow :xyxthumbs

You know, I knew someone would catch that!!:p

I noticed it only after I saw the pics. I guess I was just too anxious to take the pictures!:D Trust me, I won't forget that little detail anymore!!:bow

hey drewski.. a little off topic, but where in WA are u exactly. Im in Federal Way. by the looks of those photos. u arnt in downtown seattle. since u dont get that kind of background in the city. Considering there are PalmTrees in the Background. i take it u ARNT in WA at the moment

these cars are ment to be taken care of. ie if anyone has the chance to look at the model before that one, rt-10 i think, (like 94ish) you open up the gas tank and there is a little piece of cloth in there. The point is to drape the cloth over the body right under where the pump thing goes so you don't drip gas on the finish. It's sad when there is a car like that being abused.

That part of the rear fender is metal, I believe, most cars don't have a plastic fender lining in the rear fender... only the mudguard area does...

But it sure needs some scrubbing, but hey... WHATTA SNAKE!!!

Very nice job... :)

You guys beat me to it. The finish looks great, the only areas that I would address would be the wheelwells and the exhaust.

The nose shot is superb, love it. :bow

As far as the inner lining of the wheelwell, my Vette does have a plastic inner lining and that makes for easy cleaning/dressing, but as far as the Viper goes, that's a good question. :nixweiss

Had to actually wipe the drool than ran dowm my chin because of the hood shot.

Boy, i would clean and dress your wheels just to be near your black viper.

Correct!;)

I am visiting relatives in Southern Cali right now. My aunt recommended me to her friend.:D

Too bad, I don't think word of mouth will spread up to WA.

BTW, I live in Port Orchard.:xyxthumbs

Be careful using anything abrasive to polish the exhaust tips. They are hot coated with a ceramic material.

They can get pretty hot in use and this provides a thermal barrier to prevent warping of the lower fascia.

I usually spray with Windex to clean then follow with Zaino.

Sadly, no. He drove it over to my aunt's house, took the keys and left!

He later came back and picked it up!:o

No ride or anything!:( But it sure did sound nice when he drove it away!!

Oh well, I got $100 for the job!
