Blackfire compound or HiTempExtreme?

I currently use meguiars polishes and in the near future I will be purchasing new polishes. I have noticed alot of users on this forum prefer Blackfire and HTEC. My question is for those who have used these polishes, which of the two polishes is more aggressive, the Blackfire SRC Compound or HTEC and which ones lays down a nice finish?

It appears the HTEC removes 600 grit scrathes whereas the SRC removes 1500 to 2000...
 
Have not used the HTEC, but I don't think the Blackfire SRC Compound is real aggressive...though I'm sure it finishes down MUCH better than HTEC (but I can't say from experience). Personally, I do not see the benefit of paying big $$ for scratch-resistanct compound (now the finishing polish is another story).



If you are looking to improve on the Meguiars polish line...it won't be difficult. If you don't mind dust, the Menzerna abrasives finish down better than any other line relative to the cut provided. If you want great working characteristics and no dust, go with the Optimum line. I use both frequently...depending on the task at hand.
 
Rotary or PC?



If rotary then get the HTEC as it will cut much faster and better than anything else. Remember it doesnt have to be dangerous cut, just take less passes. Optimum polish works excellently when used with the HTEC. Put 50-50 beads next to each other and buff @1500. You will then need to finish up with a fine polish to clean it up to perfection.



If PC then I dont think the HTEC would work quite as well but I will still cut more than anything else.

I will actually be using both pc and rotary, so I take it that my best option would be as follows

1)HTEC

2)OP

3)SRC finishing polish(I will be using this with pc)
