Blackfire Caranuba Cure Time

I passed by Kragen on my way home and I found what I believe is the correct Viking 100% Cotton Chenille wash mitt. Could you guys with the right mitt please verify if I bought the right one? It cost $3.99. Thanks!

Watch out for that tag! I made the mistake of trying to rip it out of one of my mitts and tore the mitt's lining. That's now my mitt for the lower half of my car (silver part ). Nothing wrong with it, just threading some.



You have to cut it off really close or find some other solution but I wouldn't leave it there....it looks scary.

Thanks for giving us the clues to find this mystery mitt! I was a little hesitant at first because the label was totally white with no writing on it. I figured it 1) it says 100% cotton chenille, 2) it has the white wrist band, so 2 of out 3 clues should be alright.

It's supposed to have 2 purposes I believe. Hang drying and scrubbing off tough bugs and stuff. I wouldn't recommend the second usage.

So I was re-reading the PAC Blackfire page. I have completed all my correction and applied a single coat of the protectant and am about half way done the caranuba phase.

My first question is: Do I wait 8 hours between coats or is that not required?

Second question: When applying the protectant in the future how many passes are required? I followed my basic pattern for polishing, back and forth, up and down until it was completely spread. Is that just extra work, or proper procedure?

Hoping not having to wait 8 hours as I want the car done today, but if I have to wait so be it.

1. Allow at least 8 hours (or overnight) for the first wax coat to cure. Finish by applying a second coat of Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax. Apply the same as you did previously. Wipe on one section at a time and hand buff immediately. But if time is not there, then the next time you wash the car then apply your second coat of wax.

2. The protectant your talking about, is it the Blackfire Wet Diamond? if yes you should at least wait 8 hours for the second coat to cure.
