After reading several of Bill North related posts, I was wondering if anyone has tried to use the WOO method with BF2.



I've been using BF2 for a while now, and while I'd like to try AIO and SG, I still have a ton of product left which I'm really happy with.



The one drawback for me is that BF2 is a little oily and takes some time to cure, even when I apply it as thin as possible. So I was wondering if anyone knows if WOO works with BF2.

I think since BF takes some time to cure, that the WOO method would not work very well. I find the longer the BF sits, the easier it is to remove. I think the point of the WOO method with Klasse is that sometimes the longer the SG sits, the harder it gets to remove (in some peoples' experience, not mine).

I agree with Aurora...BF is an excellent product, and like said, if left on longer, it comes off, IMO, easier...It leaves a beautiful finish once cured.....(A day or so). After you have used it maybe 1/2 dozen times, youll begin to learn its characteristics, and it will become 2nd nature in its use and application......Its still my favorite product......
 
I've actually been using BF2 for a little over a year. I am of the same opinion that the longer the cure time the better. If I can I'll leave it on the car for 12-24 hours then buff it out. Although I've found that about 3 hours is passable. I use BF2 on both my chrome silver car and my Girlfriends superblack car. Excellent results for both.



The reason I bring up WOO is that like BF2, SG is supposed to have a cure time, but according to Bill North, the WOO method is just as effective but with less downtime. I was extrapolating that similar products may have similar methods of application.



Anyone ever try it?

I have used it that way, while in a hurry on my own car, unable to tell if longevity became an issue.....Ive actually applied 1x BFAFPP, let it haze, then went over it again with another coat while original coat is still on.....The stuff is great to work with. I dont know if it was my wishful thinking, but it sure did feel great !

You have to be careful not to confuse yourself in how you use the word 'cure'. Curing is the elapsed time between BUFFED coats of a product. What you are actually refering to in some of your posts is 'dry' time. Dry time is the time UNBUFFED product sits on the paint before you buff it off. IMHO and experience, dry and cure time are mutually exclusive things which have no bearing on eachother.



For SG, I advocate zero dry time, hence WOO. For SG I also advocate at least a 24 hour cure time (I personally wait 1 week). The amount of dry time has no effect on the cure time required. When I used the other app/rem SG method I also waited 1 week between coats.



As for using WOO with BF2, I can't help you there.



Just wanted to clear that up.
