Black Wow: Review

thanks for the review. i guess black wow is more on the hype side. good thing i haven't gotten one yet and i'll probably just opt to getting the meguiar's hyper dressing.

What about Leatherique Black Dye. Leatherique has some other fantastick products like rejuv oil and prestine clean.. Never tried it though, They might want to stick to leather, :) Anyone tried it ?

instead, why don't YOU try it and find out for yourself. there are lots of products out these days that many like, and some don't...

Good idea, anyone want to buy my bottle of Black Wow from me, I'll sell it for $20 shipped in the US (I used about two pea sized amounts from the bottle).

:wavey

I'm glad I read this forum before I forked out $25 for this product. Turtle Wax Black Chrome was the best product around, unfortunately it can't be found anywhere.

The best trim protectant that I have found (tried about 6 trim protectant including BW) is Ultima Tire and Trim.

+1. Not a huge fan of it on tires, but on exterior trim it is great. Nice satin finish that last for an amazingly long period of time.

I bought BW and the Autoglym Bumper Care, expecting to use the BW and let the Autoglym product pretty much be second string. Well, the BW instructions were clear that it should not be used on running boards or anywhere a slick surface isn't good - strike 1. If I got any on the paint during application it was a huge PIA to remove - strike 2. Then the week after I applied it the bumper looked like crap again once it rained - strike 3.

I've since applied to the Autoglym to the bumper and running boards, and it looks and works great. It has held up on the textured black plastic on our running boards for over three months now, and is not slick/slippery at all. Great product.

I agree 100%. Best trim dressing I have ever used. I love the stuff.

The first time I used Ultima Tire and Trim it worked wonders on my TA's black plastic cowl. One application lasted an entire summer. Unfortunately as my sample sat it clouded up and congealed and the performance fell off.

Tropicare had a great water based tire and trim dressing but I'm not sure if it's currently offered under the new Showroom FX name.
