Hi, does anyone here uses Black Velvet Carnauba wax? I fo plz tell me your experiences, or someone pls recommend me the best polish & wax to use on black paint (no metallic flakes)

I have no experience with the product but I would think that for the price one can do better. Is it filling and concealing properties you are after?



Also, there is no one best polish/wax combo. There are just too many factors. What is the condition of the paint?

My car is 55 days old . . . I clayed it & wax it the second day with Meguiars NXT wax, sadly my car somo minor swirls (installed freely by the dealer), so I want to polish it and wax it again by March, so these are my questions:



Which polish should I use?



Which wax should I use? (my car is a Superblack SE R Spec V 08)



I am using the meguiars white brush to wash my car, is it ok?



Which rotary machine is the best, cause the ultimate one they sell in the autopia store says it works from 2500 - 6000 rpms, Ive read here that most detailers work from 1200-1800 rpms.

First I would give the obligatory response that searching these forums would be a great place to start to gain valuable knowledge. It should clear up a lot of questions that may come up.



As for the ultimate detailing machine, it is a random orbit polisher and not a rotary (they are different beasts altogether). The 2500-6000 number is orbits per minute not rpm. This machine is likely your best bet as an introduction to machine polishing. For light marring, optimum poli-seal is a good choice. It will remove minor defects, while cleaning, and lightly sealing the paint. User friendly and looks good to boot. As with anything take this suggestion with a grain of salt since a more aggressive polish may be necessary. It is difficult to say without seeing the paint. For a deep wet look natty's blue, megs 26, or cleakote carnauba moose all should fit the bill nicely.
 
I would switch from the white brush to a sheepskin mitt. The brushes have a tendency to cause straight line marring.



Congrats on the Spec V, I would suggest getting a UDM, Optimum Polish and an orange pad, Vanilla moose and a white pad, and carnauba moose. That combo will give you a great wet look that hides minor swirling in between polishing sessions.
 
And what is the difference between a porter cable & a UDM? Should I get a pre-wax cleaner like the mothers one?



Thanks for all your suggestions, I was interested in the Black Velvet Carnauba since its formulated for black paints, but if anyone has tried it, I think ill choose the moose carnauba.

So you reccomend me the Ultimate UDM? Is it ok the speeds it works to?? Whay advantages does it has against a PC?

For black I would say either Zaino Z5p or Pinnacle Souveran Wax if it has to be a carnuaba.



As far as the buffer goes definitely get either the Flex or Makita BO6040.

What is your opinion about the Ultimate?
 
I like Black Velvet, but Smirnoff is my favorite. Oh - sorry, for wax, I saw a great looking black truck and the guy used Lusso Oro - check it out.

I wasn't referring to the straight lines (reflections). Nor am I trying to be argumentative. Was the vehicle dirty in the last pic? It looks as though it is in need of a fresh coat of LSP.

Ok after all these questions I am planning to do this (correct me or give tips if I am wrong):



Mezerna Micro Polish w/white CCS pad



Souveran w/ black or blue CCS pad or by hand.



Meguiars Quick detailer.
