Uhhhhhh ebpcivicsi, I know when I need to get my cars done..... I'm giving you a call pronto! Magwheel :buffing:

Thanks man, I wish you were in Memphis--on second thought--I will fly out. :D

Thanks everyone, I just could resist the shot with the huge backing plate and small pad....technology has changed, and the foam absorbs the heat. roflmao

Greg, I typically use SEM undercoating (I can get a part# if you need it), but I only had one can, in the interest of keeping everything the same--I used duplicolor. It was my first time using that brand and I must say that it was excellent.

awahl63, it's the craftsman unit--$29.99--wouldn't be without it.

VaSuperShine, pfftt, careful? That's what body shops use, any one can use the random orbital direct drive rotary polisher. The foam absorbs the heat, shhhhhh the secret is out. :secret :rofl

This is one of the best detail I have seen so far, excellent work on the paint work, the engine bay, the interior and basically, the whole car :2thumbs: :bow

That is a Concours Detail! Thoughts on HiTemp bumper dressing? Sad to see some of the trim deteriorated beyond repair. Otherwise insanely good work in every section of the car!

Thanks fro the compliments guys!!!

The HT dressing is awesome for restoring trim and bumpers. It will run a little if over applied, but once you learn how to apply it, no worries.

Excellent job as usual :2thumbs:

Your attention to small details really makes your work stand out, excellent writeup and photos. :)

Hey just amazing, Your detailing skills are up there with Scott's, Sean, Rick Rack, and the othe guys, but in terms of bringing them back !! I gotta give to you. keep it up..

Wow, awsome transformation especially the engine. I'm assuming that you covered up the intake, altanator and battery but, did you cover up all the electrical connections when hitting the engine bay with the pressure washer?

I didn't cover anything at all, just used common sense when washing.

Thanks everyone!!

you know me: I have to ask what the charge was for 15 hours worth of labor. And how many days did it take?

AMAZING WORK!!! :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

The car was dropped off on Thursday, but I didn't touch it until Friday night. Here's how the time was broken down.

Friday night I washed, clayed, did the engine, dried, steamed the exterior moldings, etc, etc this took about 5-6 hours

Saturday I detailed the Audi

Sunday I S&W'ed the car, did the interior, and buffed the car(basically did everyhting else). This took about 9 hours.

I charged $300. This car belongs to the best friend of my customer's. I have detailed for this guy for a long time, he continually sends me referrals. That has a lot to do with me putting in the work, but more than that is the fact that I was really inspired by the story behiind the car. The owner bought the car new off of the lot in 98 and began to mod it. He loved the car and put a lot into it. At some point he had a falling out in his relationship with his GF and slipped into a deep depression--the car sat untouched for two years. Finally through the help of my customer he began to come around. So he decides that he is going to sale the car and move on. My customer calls me, tells me the story, and drops off the car. To me, it was more than "just another detail" it was turning point in someone's life. I hope it helped.....

break ups cam be hard and hopefully seeing his baby like new again helps shake some good feelings back into him,

once again, fabulous detail

Awesome work!! What was all that white stuff all over the car. I can't believe it was even in the door jambs. Painting the wheel wells was a really nice touch. I do that too sometimes. It really makes a big difference. Did you also paint the wiper arms? They looked like they could use some paint too.
