Black Trim

I've neglected the trim on my 04 GT since day one lol. I have soooo much wax and what not on my trim, but I recently picked up a bottle of Adams VRT. This thread inspired me to go try some out. I really should of cleaned the trim off first, but here are the results.

With proper cleaning it would look a lot better, but it still looks good for just throwing a coat on.

I recently tired ZCS on my bmw plastic trim and was ASTONISHED at the results. The stuff gives a nice oily (but NOT greasy) look which, unlike other trim products I've tried, spreads EASILY and EVENLY! Worth a go :)

I've been using Mothers Back To Black on the plastics on my MINI. I've been having really good results but I need to reapply about once a month.

He's a funny guy! Just don't let Joe Pesci hear me say that!

What about Hi-Temp's Grape Dressing?

The TOL website says that it soaks into trim and keeps it looking better. I think they even throw the word "permanent" around. Are the durability/looks good with grape dressing?

Its textured.. it would be really tough to polish.

I really havent found anythign that works that great on it either.

Trim dream works on soft and hard (textured or not) urethane, plastic, fibreglass etc. The typical materials used on trims.

It's not a paint polish but will burnish the trims to a mirror glossy finish.

Then I apply fireglaze by machine and hand to enhance it some more and seal it for a good couple years.

Having tried just about everything for black trim and been unsatisfied with the long term results, I've ordered some Black Wow which claims to be a water resistant solution.

Black wow is pretty good. A bit of a pain to apply, but it has yielded the best results for me.

As for MegaGood's posts, the guy cracks me up. He does have something constructive to say every now and then.

YO WUT UP. Nice question bro. I got what u need right here dogger. Wut I use is either Poorboys Natural Look or 303 Aerospace Protectant. Basically i switch off between the 2 on my rides, and I just rub her on real soft and smooth. Wut kind of wax you using that's leaving residue bro? Only waxes I use are pure carnaubas with no cleaners and therefore no residues. I am usually hitting my sweet *** black trim before the wax or spray on wax and cleaning up any messes I make applying my trim stuff. Maybe I follow the trim up with a little quick detail, if you know what im talkin bout. You listen to me, and your rides look as sweet as mine, I been in the biz for a long time bro, I know what it takes to knock it out. Lateskis.

Ugh..Word up!:nixweiss

I have a 07 Mustang GT. I had it modded with a glassback roof that added even more black trim. I use Black Wow on it and it works very well. I have seen other Mustangs sitting in the sun and their grilles are faded (looks hideous!), but my trim is very nice. I suggest using a small foam brush to apply it for more precision.

Seriously, dude, you need to video your details. With commentary.

I almost look forward to this guys posts as much as some of the best C&B'ers here.

Regarding the plastic trim, it might sound crazy, but yesterday I tried to use interior polish spray (aerosol) on my Volvo S40 exterior dark grey plastic trim. (I spray the cloth till it's wet and then clean/polish the plastic trim). And I must say it works like wonder. Earlier I used TurtleWax Black Chome and other blacking products designed specially for exterior plastic trim, but strangely the interior spray cleans the wax residue better, darkens the trim better, and polishes it better than earlier used special products. I don't know, maybe it works only on Volvo trim so good...
