Black trim turning white

I tried to be careful, but I did something and my black trim is turning white.
What did I do, so I don't keep doing it.
And is there a permanent fix?

Remember, my car is only 2 months old.
I try to do good, and look what happens.

http://www.autogeek.net/wax-remover.html .You must of gotten was or sealant on the trim,it happens to all of us. Beemer suggest using creamy peanutbutter. The oils in the PB should break down the wax. Lucky for me i had some Souveran wax and it did the trick.I posted a link for wax blaster but i have not tried it. After you remove the wax use your trim restorer to revive the trim where the wax is. I hope this helps.

I use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on trim that is turning white and rough. GregCavi has a write-up about it I think.

EDIT: I just saw that you said your car was 2 months old. It probably is wax that turned it. If so Joe's recommendation would be the best. You might want to look for a wax that doesn't stain trim.

PB's Trim Restorer works very well for me. I don't tape anything off, so I usually get a bit of the trim somewhere in the process. A little dab of TR always takes care of it though.

But the TR wears off in a week.
That's how I noticed it, yesterday.

Wax remover looks good, will have to order.
Have peanut butter and Magic Eraser on hand.
I did the TR last night, so will try the Magic Eraser next time.
