Black Trim Dressing Help 2006 Civic

can anyone provide a pic of this type of trim, I bet renu it liner would work awesome on it

In regards to uneveness of Forever Black, has anyone tried more than 1 coat? I remember a click and brag with a Cavalier and it looked splochy with 1 coat, but after 2 or 3 it evened out and looked good.

Also was there any trim prep prior to applying? I wonder if a good cleaner to strip off any other product or oxidation would give better results

Hopefully it's urethane, that's easily treated with the right polishes and sealers.

I found this stuff at my local CarQuest and have been much happier with it versus Mother's Back-to-Black. I've not tried any of the others mentioned.

I like Adams In-And-Out spray and VRT, they're the same, 1 is a spray for hard to get places, i use this when detailing the engine makes everything black look new, and the other for tiers, weather stripping and moldings.

Poorboy's Trim Restorer gets my vote. Recently traded a vehicle that I have owned for 4 years and the trim looked like new. A little goes a long way too.

I havent seen anyone recommend Stoner's Trim Shine. Picked a bottle up from Murrays the other day mainly to use for my engine bay. Ended up trying it on my sister '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Used it for both engine bay detailing and also her mirror housings and door handles. Did a great job on everything and brought back some really nasty trim to a deep black. Not sure on the durability but its gonna rain soon so I'll keep posted.

My experience with Stoners Trim Shine is that it works really great in the engine bay but the durability on outside trim is less than stellar.

It was years ago that someone on this board recommended Poorboy's Trim Restorer and I really like it. You could also use Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Gel as it works very well. That is the gel and not the spray.
