Here is the 2005 Jeep that I worked on last night/today. Was in horrid shape, and Jeep paint is surprisingly HARD! The black finished off on XP Compound (extremely high cut), with a mid cut pad via rotary with absolutly no holograms. I was utterly shocked.
Ended up going over the whole truck with XP Compound x2 to remove the tunnel wash scratches (he goes through 4-5 times a week). There were tons, so I didn't expect them to all come out. After these two steps, they weren't all gone yet, so I decided to try out a little milder polsih to see if I was introducing anything. Turns out this was the right move, as once I finished off with Automagic Power Gloss, the finish was swirl free.
I topped it with Souveran, but it seemed to cover up the metallic. I topped it with Awsome Gloss and it popped a ton more. It really surprised me.
So, enough of me blabbering, what do you think?
