hey guys,

my 2nd detail of the season, just an exterior polish and wax for a guy at work. Black taurus in which he keeps pretty clean. He washes the car by hand and keeps up with the interior, but it is obvious that the wash mitts and auto washes in the winter has gotten to it. ok ok, enough, here is what i did ;)

wash with Megs GC

clay with megs clay

polished with IP - yellow CMA pad with PC on 6

sealed with NXT - gray CMA pad on 4

I was going to hit it with some FP2 but i thought it looked pretty good. i think i got about 80-90% of the swirls out. it was bad. i tried to take some pics in the sun and i can't tell if they came out ok or not, see for yourself. i did get some shots in the garage with a spot light that helps to show you guys the swirls.

here goes

Mr Gov. - The paint looks "NEW" in the after shots. Excellent results.

Sure looked terrible before. How long did it take? Did you charge for it?

Excellent job on the Taurus! Love the reflections off the rear quarter and hood. You brought that paint back. I'd also like to know what products you used and how long it took you.

As for the tought crowd part, you're not kidding.

:up

Paul

tdekany - took about 3 hours ( not including the time that i let the NXT sit on the paint ) i sure did charge $ 100 :D

Ben K - i listed the products i used in the original post :xyxthumbs

and as i told TD, it took about 3 hours.

thanks for the kind words :bow

As far as I know, they are very hard. That may be the reason why he asked.
