CMA sells this wash mitt....

Has anyone bought one of these? How are they? I'm very concerned over the color of the mitt....Is it wise to buy a BLACK washmitt....will particles show up in the mitt, or be hidden by the color and possibly create swirls. With a lighter color mitt, you see particles easily, i'm unsure how well they'll show up on black....

It looks like a nice plush mitt though, and I'm in need of a new one....

any with experience on the matter?

thx

It is dyed to be ascetically pleasing. The dye dose not change or alter the properties of the wool.

Thx Viking... I understand that... my concern is really how the mitt may not show particles the way an off-white mitt does... ie. will it look clean, when it's really NOT?

Personally, I do not wash with the all wool mitt for the leather backing makes through rinsing a bear, if not down right impossible. I would have to think that the black mitt would make it more difficult to spot and remove caught debris. I, on the other hand, do own wool mitts and use them strictly for a final polish, in that aspect they work awesome.

I know for a fact that mitt has the leather backing. It all depends on how careful you are while using it.

I hate to say it, but I got the same mitt at Walgreens (of all places) for 6 bucks. I have gone thru several sheepskin mitts and they are as nice as the ones you get thru mail order. They are the same mitt.

I think the name brand on the Walgreens mitt was Detailer's Choice (which I have seen all over the place)...

I bought the black sheepskin mit because it was on sale. I think it works fine but the die they use to make it black also turns your hand black.

I switched back to a natural colored mit.
