I will be doing an exterior detail on my sisters black saturn. I have never done a black car. Is their anything I need to know about? I belive the door panals are plastic. :nixweiss Do I need to do any extra prep work when working on the plastic?

I plan on using my Poorboys products, porter cable 3474, LC pads.

You'll have fun with black :). Espicially on a girl-owned car. PB's polishes are great, start with SSR2.5 and orange, finish with SSR1/white, use a glaze lke VM topped with Blue Natty's if you have it, or EX or any carnuba.

Thank you for the reply.

I was getting a little worried doing a black car. Im sure It will turn out great. I have always had good results with my small selection of products.

Yeah, it'll come out great. If you have the know-how, and put in the effort, nothing can touch black. Figure an hour or so extra over most colors, but it'll be an hour well spent.

I knew you were the one who said poorboys polishes were weak, what happened to change your mind, just curious? Here's what you said, " I do feel their SSR lineup is a weak link",
