Black S2000 (neglected!)

I have the Victoria Wax trio (Cruising, Collectors and Concours), a Sonax paste (Xtreme1 Full Protect) and Finish Kare's Pink Wax. I tried it with all of my four carnaubas, but not with FK.



The Victorias work well with this method, especially Concours. I've done three layers with the Sonax, and I wasn' thrilled by the look. It maybe needs more...



From your collection, #16 is an excellent candidate, #26 can be good because it deepens the color with just one coat and honestly, I'd try it with Souverän, too.



I plan to purchase Beauty Shine's Pink Carnauba which is meant for spit shining. That'll be an interesting experience.



I suggest you to use distilled water instead of the QD because most QDs contain a tiny amount of alcohol, and thus lighter waxes can be sensitive to this influence.
 
Even when it looked like crap, I'd still take it. I <3 the S2000!

is that muffler just cleaned up or was it replaced. because if it was just cleaned i'd reallyt love to know what u used on it, looks amazing
 
thanks guys. As an S2000 owner myself (5 1/2 yrs!) I hate to see an S2000 neglected. I love cleaning them up :)



tensors: On the Spoon exhaust I started with NevrDull wadding to do the basic cleanup then moved to Autosol metal polish with a cotton rag. I'm not entirely sure, but it feels like Autosol has diminishing abrasives in it and does an amazing job on every metal I've used it on. I need to figure out where to get more, as my tube is almost gone.



Here's another job done with Autosol (for the heck of it, to see what it could do):

wow thats amazing. i might try cleaning up the stock muffler on my pathy. u got that one looking like it was polished (i couldnt tell if it was polished by the before pics). thanx for the tips
 
mmm i love the s2k. only a year and half of college left and then its my time for an s2k.. just certainly not black! awesome work! any good day light shots of the black s2k? any pics of yours??:)
