Black S2000 - first time w/ my porter cable

I used my PC for the first time today. The car isn't perfect; I think I need a more aggressive pad and product. But for a first time I am pretty happy with the results.



My process was:



Wash

Clay

Wash

Optimum Compound w/ Edge Green Pad

Optimum Polish w/ Edge Blue Pad

JEFFS Werkstat Prime w/ Edge White Pad

JEFFS Werkstat Acrylic JETT Trigger w/ MF

I find that the orange pad will wipe the floor with the green pad as far as cutting power goes. You may want to try that out.
 
Yeah, I think that I will step up to orange next time. It took me a good 6 hours to do what everything, so I want to get it right next time.



But I am pretty happy w/ the results considering the car has nearly 70k miles on it.
 
stiffdogg, I think the whole pic is just washed out.



kyotousa, no, not all the scratches. I think I need to be a little more aggressive, but I am happy for a first time with the PC.
 
If you can control the exposure on your camera, turn it down a notch or two and the black will look *outstanding*... you might also want to try topping with CJ or another paste wax.



Other than that.... it's a helluva lot better than my first try with a PC came out.
