Black Magic engine detailer

anyone try this yet? aparently you don't have to cover anythign with this. It might be a nice alternative to CD-2.

Last fall I was looking for CD2 and I couldn't find any. So, I bought a can of the Black Magic product. I never used it though, because I found some CD2 before I got around to trying the Black Magic.

I do remember reading a review of the Black Magic product somewhere though. I just can't remember what website it was on. IIRC the user felt it cleaned well, but did not leave anywhere near as nice a finish as CD2.

I've got a can of it. Totally disappointed with it. It doesn't do anything for shine really. I'd rather go in with towels and normal rubber/vinyl protectant than rely on this stuff to shine my engine. I'm slowly trying to use up the rest of the can as a degreaser, but that is it. It is pure weaksauce and not worthy to be mentioned in the same thread as CD2. :D Well, maybe not that bad, but it isn't worth buying. Buy some Poorboy's Bold N Bright instead. That looks much better.

im always a sucker for trying a new product once, and i'll say this, i only used the Black magic once and that was it, saw it a local store on special n picked up 2 cans, only 2 cans i'll buy of it, wasnt impressed at all. maybe im spoiled with the stuff i have at work, i dunno, wasnt my cup o tea :/
