Black Mach1

That paint looks terrific and the objects reflected look very clear. Is there OP on that anywhere lol ?

Thanks for all of the compliments!

It is a keypad at the base of the windshield...thought that was pretty strange, but I guess it makes the door smoother.

The clear did seem pretty hard (not quite as bad as Corvette clear), but there wasn't a whole lot of orange peel to speak of...I think parts or all of this car had been repainted due to being caught in a really bad hail storm.

The tires are MT ET Drag Radials and have cut some 1.7s on that car.

Here's one more picture I thought was pretty cool:

Awesome job on an awesome car Zane

What kind of pads did you use by PC? I noticed you said light cutting. I actually need to stock up on some PC pads, mainly cutting and wanted to give some light cut a try too. I'd be curious on how you feel towards the pads you used. I know i've had some pretty bad experiences with the older yellow LC cutting pads. Thanks! :wavey

Great job! That paint looks very, very, very, very wet and reflective.

I'm glad you didn't top the Z, I love the sharp reflections!

Psss...I'm a chevy guy over ford anyday, too! haha

Damn that's reflective. I can hardly believe it. THat makes me want to discontinue nuba for awhile and try Zaino on my black! I would like to know a little more about your process and pad selection too!

Thanks again, guys!

The process is just like I stated...SSR 2.5 with orange LC pad (speed 5-6), followed by AIO with white LC pad (speed 5-6), and Zaino Z5 by hand.

Who cares about that ford, whats up with that grand national? Those are cool cars, unlike crappy mustangs. lol J/K Ford guys. ;)

Why didn't you use Z2? Just curious since the customer wanted durability.

The flat black areas were clayed and Zaino'd.

I was under the impression that the flat black areas were decals. It's okay to seal them with a sealant I assume?

Ryan - I get similar durability from Z5 and Z2.

Jason - the flat black areas are decals...I've always treated decals like paint when it comes to protection. :nixweiss
