Ha! My first thought was :nervous2: "Um, no way am I dealing with that!" but he talked me into it because he knew how I was about paint & detailing (anal) and would take the best care of it.

After reading the story, seeing that pic that said FAIL on it, I just bust out laughing. It seems like you managed to keep your cool and your sense of humor through what may be the biggest PITA clear bra removal in history!



The car looks great now that you finished it up. Glad to see an owner take enough pride in the appearance of that amazing machine to hire a competant detailer (let alone one of your skill) and not some hack. Great work!
 
I have given some thought to removing my clear bra..... but after seeing that.... you've quelled the urge. Very nice job. When I had my tint installed I was talking to the buy about a type of clear bra film called Venture. He had a scrap that was left over from an install. We did everything we could do to puncture it with a screwdriver only to see it unstretch and recover to it's original shape. Absolutely amazing stuff. Like a rock trampoline. And thick too. About 8-10 mils I think ?

If its just regular clear bra its not too bad, the plastic is easily removed and the glue comes off with some 3m adhesive remover and some buffing, whatever was on the hood of this car was NOT a 3m clear bra product.

There have been plenty of times when I agreed to do some pretty mean stuff to some cool cars. But I don't know man. I think I might have just walked away from that one. Kudos to just having the balls to tackle the project. Extra special kudos for the end result. The car looks kick butt!!!! I'm sure there were quite a few "I am the freaken best ever!" dances going on in that garage.



The end result is what every detailer joneses for. Most the time it is the harder more difficult jobs that gives us the greater satisfaction (or high). Excellent job.





As a fellow detailer of the Ford GT, I have to ask you one question.

How many times did you hit your head, back or shoulder on the tops of those stupid doors?

I did :spot a few times only after hours of :nervous2: though



This and the GMC i did have been the highest satisfactino details I've had! Good call!



Lost count, those doors are the devil!!! :lol

It nearly brings tears to my eyes to see a Lambo so ruined. But you did a phenominal job bringing it back to life!!
