it looks like you achieved the same results! :xyxthumbs

I've become pretty proficient with the PC already. I mainly use the rotary for deep scratches, where it takes me 2 minutes instead of 30 minutes sitting there with the PC. :waxing:

On a side note, my PC is starting to run very very hot. I actually had a pad start to smoke today. THe middle of the backing plate gets so hot that it causes the middle of the foam pad to cave in and not touch the paint. Sound like the bearings are going? Maybe I'll contact Porter Cable and see what they're 1 year warrenty is like.

My PC has begun running a little hot too, no smoke yet, but let us know how things go!

That Hyper compound took out those swirls like a champ!

Nice work, why no topper?

B16, with a 1.8 L crank Mild bottom end work, with some head work.

I didn't top it for the photo's, as I wanted to capture how it looked without the covering effects of wax.

Steve,

First off, great job as usual. Your work is truley amazing and I know you take great pride in it. A couple of questions though. Does the OP not finish perfect? I was just curious why you added the ssr1 step. Is the money in canadian? If not, you can easily charge more for all the excellent work you do. I charge at least 25/hour for my work, and you could easily charge more than that. Again, Great Job!!

Let me guess, 5" backing plate? I had problems like that with the Meguiars 5" plate and the one that came with my PC. Switched to the 6" one from exceldetail, no problems since, even buffing on 90 degree days.

Really nice work on that Civic, Steve. :bigups
