Black is not always beautiful

I own a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo. The dealer calls the black paint on my car pristine. Not sure what that means other then you can't take it to a car wash and you have to be very careful when washing it by hand. The paint has a lot of scratches and chips in the paint. I am vary afraid to use rubbing compound on it. (bad experience when I was younger with my first car. I am looking for

some kind of product that can take the chips out or at the vary least make them not so noticeable. I have a PC with orange, Yellow and a few white pads for it. I have tried using Menzerna Car Care Kit. Finish polish 11Finishing touch Glaze and FMJ. The car shines more but the chips and scratches are still visible. I clayed the entire car before starting the waxing part.
