Black Fire Wet Diamond Opinions

tom p.- Which vehicle are you using it on?

Oh, and so it's holding up OK to shampooings? The oh-so-similar UPP doesn't last through washes as well as, uhm...the LSPs I'm used to ;)

IIRC, other than the "black bits" application, I only had the BF on the S8 for a little while and IIRC I haven't used it on anything since. The "darkening" thing made it inappropriate for most of my vehicles, and the '93 Audi isn't sealant-worthy if you get my drift :o

pwaug- Hmmmm....sounds like they might've just tweaked the name a bit

MDRX8- I just *must* get around to trying my Poxy before it goes bad! So you like CG's V7 as a topper for it huh? How would you characterize the "look" and how does it work out with regard to durability and dirt-shedding?

There is only one its called blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection, like pwaug says.

Thanks. I've honestly never heard anyone refer to it using its full name, therefore the confusion. I had assumed "BFWD" was a different product.

Too many names, too many things that are really the same.

On the '11 A4. I must have applied it around Thansgiving last year. Real easy to work with. It's fading away now and it's probably yielding a similar result to the Poxy with slightly superior beading, superior looks.

The cars have been washed so many times this past winter that it's just silly....

I recall the BFWDAFPP being a real pleasure to work with. In fact, it was so e-z to work with that I have been very skeptical about its potential durability and have been proven wrong.

Looks very wet and glassey. I use it on my garaged RX8.

Sounds like Z2 with depth! I do like the look of Poxy on my medium green (actually made it look darker or richer so to speak) and of course it looks great on my wife's black Golf. I'll have to pick up some V7 and give it a try.
