Black Excursion+family of 6+ neglect=wowzerz *56K NO WAY

EBPcivicsi

GOT PREP?
Don’t even know where to begin with this one. This Excursion serves as the family grocery getter for a family with four kids. It has been two years since I touched it, obviously NO upkeep from the owner. I’ll let the pictures tell you the rest….

Process was:

Costco APC 10:1 on everything inside

Pressure washed matts/cargo liners

Extracted with my shop vac with the filter removed

Leather treated with Meguiars Medaliion leather cleaner/conditioner

Glass cleaned with NXT glass cleaner

The exterior got wash

Clay

Poorboy’s polish w/ carnauba OCW

Tires dressed with Meguiars hyper dressing 1:1

Wheels polishes with NXT metal polish

Trim dressed with hyper dressing 1:1

BTW, I had to clean out my vac mid-stride….

6.5 hours total work time for both vehicles

While I was there I detailed this one too. Wash, clay, PWC, hyper dressing, etc. Basically the same process as above. I am tired and off to bed. One more detail tomorrow!!!

WOW! that might be the best interior detail i have ever seen!...it really looks flawless in the end...amazing work!

6.5 hours for BOTH combined in one day?? Jeez, I did 3 details the past three days and each one took 5 hours and they weren't SUV's or trucks!!

Awesome job Joe! That interior transformation is great. I can see how not dressing the interior of that beast cuts down on time. Have you used Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? Perfect for those interiors with scuffs and marks.

Those wheels aren't clear coated (hence using a metal polish)? Did you use the Cyclo for the PwC?

Again, awesome work :bigups

Amazing transformation! It looks brand new. How can people drive something that dirty? Hope you get a decent tip or at least paid very well for that job.

Wow great work. I dont do detailing for anybody but myself and my family but that would piss me off to go do somebodies car and have to clean out their garbage and pick books up and stuff. I know that is what they are paying you to do but at least have some decency for the guy doing it. Again great work! two thumbs up!

Once when I used to detail cars for other people I did a car and there were piles of stuff in the back seat. After sorting it all out so that I could detail the back seat I had found 5 credit cards. All valid. When I returned the car all five were neatly stacked on the center console so he could see what an idiot he was.

It is sad that every Excursion I have seen (save one, and it was Banks enhanced) looked just like that one on the inside. I feel your pain, believe me!

Excellent job both inside and out. :)

Awesome work !!!! I can never understand how people that are having their cars detailed don't have the common courtesy to remove the trash. Geez....if it was me bringing my car in for work I would be embarrassed.

I am sure they were shocked at the transformation.

Hi Seth, yep 6.5 for both, but remember no deep polishing. You would be surprised how time you spend doing multiple steps on the paint--especially on this monster!!!

The wheels actually were clear coated. I thought that they were polishes uncoated too, but when I tried the metal polish on them, it didn't turn black. I always test wheels like this BEFORE cleaning them with acid--don't want to flash oxidize them. :soscared:

Sorry, PWC via PC @5.5 for the excursion and PWC via cyclo+orange pads for the HD truck.

Thanks everyone!!! I am about to load up and head out for today's detail....another SUV!! :( :waxing:
