Thanks Harry. I advised him to invest in a grease pencil so that when he does take it to the dealer that he can write on the windows "do not wash" and hopefully that will help. I don't think he had them to do any work nor did he know better.

I might have posted this before but when I take the Maxima to the dealer I print out 3 signs and when I leave the car I tape one to the dash one to the windshield and put one in the back seat in English and Spanish telling them not to wash the car

Its nice when you do a vehicle and know that the owner is going to do everything possible to keep it in that perfect shape. I did a Ford Excursion for a guy this week and I must have just buffed that thing for over 8 hours. Deep down I know that he is going to keep washing it crappy and by next spring he will need it done again *sigh* Oh well, earns me more money I guess.

Isnt it amazing how different paints can be by OEM?

His product order arrived while I was there doing the wash. Once he gets his grout sponges he will be ready.

Seems as thought they have to be sorted by color AND manufacturer.

I printed off 2 paper signs saying "DO NOT WASH", had them lamenated, and picked up a couple suctions pads from the $store and attached to the lamenated paper. I now attach these signs to the windows anytime I have any work done on the car. No grease pencil to clean off the windows afterwards and no chance for excuses, IME.

Im not sure what Im more impressed with...how much damage that dealer did to the car in 1 wash or perfect you got the soft Subie black paint. Great job!

Nice work. Looks like a good view of the city at that house too......

Thanks! Simply awesome view. I'd love to wake up to that!

The owner should be checking in and seeing the recommendations. Thanks for posting that.:)

Dealer instilled swirls....

Awesome outcome though. Great shine and gloss.

Thank you!

Thanks Sean! It's going to be hard to beat the finish obtainable by the Menzerna finishing polishes. Until someone *can* make something better I'm more than happy with them.

Very nice work! Some of the marring looks like it could have been from claying? Did you use clay( you didn't have it listed)? If not, the dealer really screwed that one up.

Thanks David and Rick.

David, there was no claying done as all surfaces were clean and even passed the plastic baggie test. :D The *dealer* made that mess and then it sounds like they glazed it to ready it for sale.

Looks like there's some blue metalflake in the paint which you can only see in the sun shots. I know my buddy has an STI that is a couple years old and it has tons of gold, orange and brown metalflake in it. The car looks totally black in the shade, but when the sun is shining all you see is tons of gold metalflake.

Again, it looks amazing...
