Black & depth

I've been having problem's with getting my black deep/wet looking and slick feeling.

I'm a PB fan and have almost all of his product's but I'm not getting it & only on my vehicle(04 black Z71 Tahoe). Other's come out excellent .

The closest I can get is with NXT and a Meg # 26 topper and some final inspection after.

I've tried the following PB combo's:
SSr1 , EX , Natty's
PP , EX , Natty's

Don't get me wrong it look's great and has the crystal clear PB shine , but look's like it has a deep white haze and not alot of depth/wet look to it.

All applied with a PC and I know it's not bad product's , but what the hell am I doing wrong.

I used SSR1 followed by EX-P and realized I had never seen the color of my paint this well before.
The metal flake popped out like it was newly added.
It had amazing depth and wetness.
I applied everything by hand.

For depth and wetness on black, it's hard to beat Souveran paste, or Liquid Souveran. For wetness alone, it's hard to beat S100/P21S. For me, Trade Secret seems to fall somewhere inbetween, and might be a good choice.

Just my 2 cents. :D

Nothing else can give me the depth and richness i get from pinnacle souveran. It is much deeper and richer looking than any other waxes i've tried. Im still waiting to try out victoria concours wax and see how it holds up with the other high end waxes.

On black for great wetness, it's hard to beat the combo of Vanilla Moose and Carnauba Moose Wax. Souveran rules, but CMW is quite cheaper and the durability is excellent.

Thats great Boss now I have to try some Souveran paste on my ride, lol. I have the P21s and poorboys Ex-P and very happy with those results, do ya think the Souveran paste will do as good as the P21s over the EX-P?

Dan20,

That's hard to say? You may think it looks better............. or maybe not? Everybody has their own "eye".

However, I can say that I love Souveran on black, burgundy, and a couple other colors.

Keep in mind that Souveran is very expensive, and isn't going to win any durability contests! :D

If you want to save some money, and get a bit more durable product, I'd consider the Trade Secret! :bigups

Hey Fall guy - I know what you mean and I think it's not that your not getting it - it's the problem with Black. My roomate's black truck - I get the same thing and I've come to the realization that it's just that the deep black is reflecting to the point it looks "milky" if you know what I mean. It's odd - sometimes it looks awesome - others it looks a little hazy and it's not really it's just the ambient light around it - does that make sense?

When I had my black truck my favorite combo on it was:

SSR1, EXx3, topped with multiple layers of Trade Secret.
Here is 2 pics of it with this on it to see if this is what your looking for.

I remember Steve telling me that he saw TQB's truck at a car show, and it looked "incredible"!

Not sure what products he had on it at that time though?

Boss when Steve saw it, it had on PP,PwCx2, EXx5.

Oh how I wish I had pics of it with that setup on it.

So far the best depth I can achive is with Victoria concours wax even better result than TS and PS I've tried for years.

......wait, I can't introduce you guys new product, or I'd be framed as selling marketing hype.

When I was talking to Steve, I mentioned that I would be trying his products on my 02' Black Tahoe Z71 , & he suggested Poorboy's with Carnuba topped with EX-P, I'm thrilled with the results.

Here's my truck: dacp, #9, Ex-P, Souveran (all one layer)

I like the Souveran but not sure if I'm going to want to pay $70 for another jar when it runs out. I think I'll try Nattys next time instead.
